  My 14 week old puppy broke her leg at approx 17:00 Saturday 9th September. I phoned to get her into the vet ASAP and ended up talking to a central phone service to be told that Kingshill closing hour was 13:00 and I should take her to Gillingham branch as they were the emergency service but that I should get there ASAP as they would be closing at 18:00 as they had to make house calls. When I said that would be impossible to do I was told I could take her to the sister branch on Sutton Road , Maidstone but they were closing for the day at 17:30. I gave up disgusted at the total ineptitude of the service and apparent help I was being offered meanwhile my 14 week old puppy is whining with pain. I phoned my previous vet, Companion Care in Pets At Home at Quarry Wood, Aylesford. She was seen right away, sedated, xrayed, a temporary cast applied and referral sent for an emergency appointment to a specialist centre on Monday. I will NEVER return to Kingshill Vets again. I am absolutely disgusted at the service provided by such a large group, especially when no mention of any other help or advice was given in such a terrible situation. Thanks to the outstanding service from Companion Care and NDSR in Surrey our little dog is now slowly on the mend and prognosis is very good. NO THANKS TO KINGSHILL VETS!! If I could give a no star or a black mark believe me I would. I will NEVER take any of my pets to Kingshill vets ever again even though they are closer and should be more convenient, I am far happier going out of my way a little for correct and compassionate care for our dogs.
